Westcor is delighted to welcome David Page as the new Head of Rights to Light and Specialist Risks. With significant experience in legal indemnities and specialist underwriting, David is uniquely positioned to lead this area for Westcor. His extensive background in complex risk assessment, paired with a passion for problem-solving, makes him the ideal person to drive forward new initiatives in these sectors.
David’s career began after earning his law degree at Exeter University, and he has since worked with leading industry firms, developing a reputation for crafting tailored solutions to the most challenging risks. His hands-on approach and ability to think creatively make him a standout in bespoke underwriting, particularly in areas such as Rights to Light, where capacity and solutions can often be limited.
Pioneering Rights to Light at Westcor
At Westcor, David will lead the development of a new Rights to Light offering, while also addressing other unique risks. “This is an excellent opportunity to expand an already successful business in a new direction. I’m looking forward to the challenges and opportunities that will likely come my way,” he says of his new role. “Westcor’s entrepreneurial culture is a great fit for me. I’ve always been drawn to the creative side of underwriting,” he adds, “finding answers for unusual and difficult risks. Westcor provides the perfect environment for that.”
David’s experience to date incorporates leading names in the industry, including Zurich, Legal and Contingency, and Stewart Title, where he honed his expertise and built lasting relationships within the market. He is eager to apply this knowledge at Westcor, particularly as the property market is expected to present fresh opportunities in the coming years.
